Smart.Vet is Now VetWise!

As of August 1, 2025, Smart.Vet became VetWise. While our name has changed, our mission and team remain the same. We're still the trusted company you know, just with a fresh new look and name that better reflects who we are and where we're headed.

About Us:

VetWise is a provider of virtual care services in the veterinary industry, offering innovative solutions to problems facing veterinary professionals.

We are dedicated to collaborating with animal hospitals by enhancing their in-person services, extending care availability and easing the workload on brick-and-mortar practices. Our goal is to support overburdened hospitals by providing patient care when it's needed most, whether during regular hours or after. We’re not here to compete—we're here to collaborate. While we've grown, we maintain a "mom and pop" culture and mentality, valuing personal relationships, and fostering a close-knit, supportive work environment.

The Opportunity:

VetWise is expanding and seeking passionate remote Veterinarians to join our growing team in Newfoundland and Labrador! As a member of our network, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work according to your own schedule. Whether you want to provide care in your spare time or are seeking casual, part-time or full-time opportunities, this position allows you to practice veterinary medicine while enhancing access to care for pet owners and alleviating the workload for hospitals.

Your Role:

  • Unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • A passion for improving access to veterinary care
  • Experience working with exotics is a major plus

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing, innovative company that values a "mom and pop" approach to teamwork and relationships
  • Enjoy ultimate schedule flexibility—work on your own terms
  • Work remotely from the comfort of your home
  • A comprehensive benefits package including dental care, extended health care, vision care, and an employee assistance program
  • Paid time off

Schedule

  • Casual, part-time and full-time positions available
  • Options for Monday-Friday, weekend, daytime, evening, and night shifts available

Location

  • Remote - Registered in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador

Compensation
