About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and supervise student housing construction projects. You will be responsible for organizing construction procedures, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to achieve profitable agreements.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
- Plan project resources—including manpower, equipment, and materials—while respecting budgetary limits.
- Schedule construction operations and intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
- Manage procurement, monitor materials and equipment, and address shortages promptly.
- Hire, allocate, and supervise contractors and staff.
- Provide guidance to laborers, mechanics, and other team members as needed.
- Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards and report any issues.
About You
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in multi-family residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, project management principles, and procedures.
- Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with quality control and health & safety standards.
- Proficient in MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- BSc/BA in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or a relevant field.
- On-site supervision experience is a strong advantage.
