Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of immigration laws and procedures, providing expert guidance to clients navigating the complexities of immigration processes. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Must Have:
- RCIC License holder in good standing with CICC, Canada
- Experience in handling a variety of Canadian Immigration Applications
- Business Immigration Experience in files like C10, ICT, CUSMA etc.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather necessary information for immigration applications.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence related to immigration cases, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Perform detailed research on immigration policies, regulations, and case law using resources such as Lexis-Nexis.
- Maintain organized client files and documentation using iManage or similar systems.
- Proofread all documentation for accuracy and clarity before submission.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing client communications.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and procedures to provide informed advice to clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in immigration consulting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in conducting interviews and gathering information effectively from clients.
- Familiarity with legal drafting processes and administrative tasks within an office environment.
- Research skills that enable thorough analysis of complex legal issues related to immigration.
