We provide accessible, quality, culturally safe and holistic health care that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We work with our 11 First Nation community partners and the IFC in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services, and health promotion services.
The opportunity: An employee in this role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Homeless Addiction Recovery Treatment Facility. This role ensures services meet client needs while aligning with organizational policies, health and safety standards, and community care best practices. The position provides leadership to staff, ensures a supportive environment for clients, and upholds the principles of harm reduction and trauma-informed care. It plays a key role in maintaining partnerships with health and social service providers.
What you need to bring with you:
- Minimum 3 years of management experience/Leadership in health, addictions, or social
- Direct residential experience in managing and/or delivering treatment within a residential setting preferred.
- Degree (Preferred) / Diploma in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or related
- Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and addictions
- Familiarity with harm reduction and housing-first
- Strong crisis management and problem-solving
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations, and communities
- Knowledge and experience of Anishinabek Health and Traditional healing practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A clear criminal reference check is a condition of
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license

What to expect? Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
