General Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector and Tester who is responsible for maintaining the quality control standards pertaining to all of our diesel fired heating products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC related activities and manage QC documentation for our products;
- Working with engineering disciplines to develop/revise Quality Checklists and inspection criteria;
- Conduct testing of various vendor parts to ensure parts meet the required specifications;
- Initiating contact with the purchasing department on all quality matters including resolution of technical issues related to the fabrication and acceptance of goods;
- Developing and maintaining quality standards and best practices;
- Monitor the production phases, ensure product quality and composition at each phase, and recommend any changes required to maintain product integrity;
- Keep the plant's quality control standards and procedures manuals up to date;
- Test and troubleshoot diesel fired heaters
- Assist with the manufacturing of diesel fired heaters
Job Specifications:
- Minimum 2 year’s relevant quality control experience;
- 2 years testing experience in a manufacturing plant;
- 2 years assembly experience in a manufacturing plant;
- Experience in inspection of shop manufactured and fabricated equipment is essential;
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications;
- Strong safety behaviour and record;
- Excellent oral and written skills in English are essential;
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of standard computer tools (Office Suite);
- Analytical attitude, organizational and planning skills;
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
