About Us:
CanDry Technologies is a food processing and technology company specializing in innovative low-temperature dehydration solutions. We are HACCP-compliant and preparing for audit. To support our growth, we are hiring a QA Technician who will help maintain food safety and quality standards while assisting with production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Assist with implementation and maintenance of HACCP and food safety programs.
· Perform routine QA checks (temperature, sanitation, product quality, Traceability).
· Complete and maintain QA documentation (logs, forms, records).
· Support preparation for third-party audits and regulatory inspections.
· Monitor raw materials and finished products for compliance with specifications.
Operations & Machine Support
· Assist in setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of production equipment.
· Support production runs by monitoring critical control points and reporting deviations.
· Handle meat-based products, including fish, poultry, beef, and other proteins.
· Ensure cleaning and sanitation procedures are followed before and after production.
General Plant Support
· Assist with material handling (loading/unloading raw materials and finished goods).
· Support packaging, labeling, and storage of finished products.
· Help with full facility cleaning and sanitation as required.
· Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
· Comfortable working with meat-based products; must not have fish allergies.
· Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
· Capable of lifting up to 20 kg.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently - very reliable staff only.
· Experience in food manufacturing, QA/QC, or production is a strong asset.
· Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards preferred.
Qualifications
· Very detail-oriented with strong accuracy in paperwork.
· Fast learner, able to adapt to new systems and processes.
· Comfortable filling out forms, QA checklists, and reports.
· Comfortable working with meat-based products; must not have fish allergies.
· Physically fit: able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
· Highly reliable and punctual - consistency is essential.
· Experience in food manufacturing, QA/QC, or HACCP (an asset).
