We’re seeking a Manager, QA to lead quality assurance across our product teams, ensuring our customer-facing platforms and internal tools deliver reliable, high-quality experiences for students, parents, and educators. This role focuses on teacher and parent applications, subscription flows, and reporting tools.

In this role, you’ll be setting the direction of QA across multiple product teams, coaching QA team members, and evolving testing practices to balance speed, risk, and technical rigor. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Customer Support teams to ensure quality is integrated into the development lifecycle from the start.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic thinking, people management, and technical execution. You’ll balance long-term planning with day-to-day delivery needs and help shape a culture where quality is a shared responsibility, not just a final checkpoint.

Your Impact

  • Quality Strategy and Ownership: Define QA standards and lead the implementation of a balanced manual and automated testing approach that aligns with product and business goals.

  • Testing Practices and Automation Oversight: Oversee testing activities across multiple teams, guide test automation strategy, and coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure efficient and scalable QA processes.

  • Quality Metrics and Risk Management: Leverage data and metrics to assess readiness, track quality trends, identify systemic issues, and proactively manage risk throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Support to embed quality into every stage of product development and act as a trusted voice in planning and prioritization.

  • Process Improvement and Continuous Learning: Drive ongoing improvements to QA workflows, tools, and standards, while staying up-to-date on testing trends and introducing best practices across the team.

  • Team Leadership and Craft Development: Lead, support, and grow a team of QA Analysts, fostering a strong culture of ownership, continuous learning, and excellence in testing.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including experience leading QA teams in a SaaS or web product environment.

  • Strong understanding of both manual and automated testing, and when to apply each.

  • Experience with modern QA tools, automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium), and CI/CD integrations.

  • Track record of mentoring QA professionals and driving cross-functional alignment.

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience leading QA for parent, teacher, or consumer-facing platforms.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and testing practices.

  • Experience managing third-party QA partners or vendor relationships.

  • Strong data orientation: using quality metrics to influence decisions.
