The TTC has an exciting opportunity within the Procurement and Category Management Department! We are currently hiring for a Purchasing Card Administrator (PCard) to coordinate and administer the daily activities associated with the TTC's Corporate Credit Card Program.


What You Will Do


You will manage purchasing card application process including reviewing card applications, new account set up, employee agreement forms for completeness and card distribution.

You will be responsible for all training regarding the purchasing card program and conduct new cardholder training.

You will ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of platform activities including notifications regarding outstanding balances, changes and closing of accounts within established financial and operational guidelines.

The incumbent will be subject matter expert on all corporate purchasing credit card program systems and processes.

You will provide excellent customer service and communication to internal card users and external vendors (i.e. credit card issuing bank).

You will reinforce the control environment to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; ensure transactions are in compliance with accounting and internal control policies and procedures.

You will leverage ERP system functionality and prepare ad-hoc reporting and statistics.

You will develop purchasing documents (RFP, RFQ, Terms of Reference, etc.) for the acquisition or extension of PCard Program Services as required.

You will participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

Additional Requirements


  • Skilled in understanding and reviewing purchase orders, invoices, related documentation and reports
  • Understanding of accounts payable (A/P) functions, and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) mid-sized servers, and document management software; experience with Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to gather and sort large volumes of data to prepare analysis and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to effectively work with employees at all levels within the organization and external vendors
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Sound knowledge of office methods, practices and procedures
  • Ability to adapt to continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge of Purchasing Card program administration and coordination, including procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Experience with SAP reporting is preferred
  • Software/systems implementation experience would be an asset
