Job Description: Medical Clinic - Receptionist
Reports to Managing Partners (Office Administrator & Practice Owner)
Full Job Description:
- Interact with callers and visitors in a manner that is supportive and professional when discussing midwifery services.
- General Reception:
- Check voicemail.
- Check faxes and file documents.
- Scan documents.
- Make photocopies.
- Schedule/reschedule prenatal and postpartum appointments.
- Direct calls from clients to midwives.
- Check clients into their appointments.
- Receive and sort mail.
- Verify supplies when they are delivered.
Education/Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Diploma in Office Administration – Medical or equivalent (required).
- Experience in a busy medical office – 1 year (preferred).
- Experience in Accuro (preferred).
- Experience in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, Access (preferred).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner concerning client files and records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly and compassionate.
Schedule:
Job Type: Part-time
Clinic Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (no weekends)
Clinic Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm. 21hrs/per week. Unpaid lunch 1 hour inclusive of breaks.
Salary: $18/hr
