Play a pivotal role in advancing the priorities of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw through effective project management. Your work will directly support Chair and Council in serving our people, preserving our snew̓íyelh (teachings), and strengthening our self-governance. Help shape projects that honor our past while building our future with wenáxws (respect) and cultural integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with Squamish Nation priorities
- Facilitate project kick-offs and maintain documentation with cultural sensitivity
- Track project metrics and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare status reports and ensure clear communication with stakeholders
- Manage resources and coordinate across departments/vendors
- Implement structured change management processes
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned
- Support special projects that advance Squamish Nation sovereignty
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience in project management or coordination
- Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills
- Experience working with Indigenous governments/organizations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proficiency with project management software/tools
- Understanding of Indigenous governance structures
- Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Salary: $ 62,500 - $87,500 annually
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
