Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for projects.
- Build detailed project budgets that reflect all aspects of the construction process.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Planswift for efficient estimating and project management.
- Collaborate with project managers to review project scopes and timelines, ensuring alignment on budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
- Monitor ongoing projects to identify any potential cost overruns or discrepancies.
- Provide support in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and HeavyBid etc
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Excellent project management abilities, ensuring timely completion of estimates.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing structures.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills to assess project requirements accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

- Maintain organized records of all estimates and related documentation for future reference.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to gather information for accurate estimating.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the estimating process to clarify requirements and expectations.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as PlanSwift is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes in pricing discussions.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
