Sun Glow Window Coverings is a manufacture of window treatments for both the residential and contract markets. Growth has resulted in our search for an additional estimator to join our contract team.
* JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software to create comprehensive estimates
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential issues or discrepancies
- Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation
* Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:*
- Minimum Post-Secondary Education in related industry (Architectural, Civil Engineering Construction Project Management)
- Self-motivated
- Proficiency in computer software applications (MS Office, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships using diplomacy and tact
- Processes a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure generated by short deadlines and flexibility in hours to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Experience using on-screen takeoff programming
- Exceptional communication skills
- Skills in mathematics
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- You must have strong problem solving and decision making abilities. You are motivated and results oriented.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
