Position Profile
The role involves comprehensive project management and grant administration responsibilities, supporting the effective delivery of initiatives under the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI) program.
Key duties include:
- maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, as well as guiding non-profit organizations (sub-agreement holders) to ensure compliance with grant agreements.
- supporting organizational growth through strategic networking, stakeholder engagement, and participation in regional outreach activities.
- organizing and facilitating meetings
- preparing presentation materials
- managing physical and electronic records, and providing regular reporting to supervisors.
- supporting grant administration tasks such as hosting information sessions, developing grant materials, and ensuring timely reporting by sub-agreement holders.
- The successful candidate will also monitor a virtual community of practice to foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration across funded organizations.
This is a term position with an end date of March 31, 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Manage client performance as it relates to grant agreement and provide guidance and counselling as required.
- Promote organization development and growth by e.g. actively participating in networking events.
- Network to attract potential regional organizations for project success and develop strategic relationships.
- Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
- Support SBCCI Team in production of deliverables in accordance with contribution agreement.
Reporting and Administration
- Create and share weekly report with supervisor.
- Carry out other administrative tasks relating to the project (e.g. filing and maintenance of physical and electronic records, responding to inquiries by phone and email etc. daily).
Stakeholder Relations
- Organize stakeholder meetings,
- Engage in regional travel for presentations and workshops.
- Monitor a virtual community of practice to ensure the optimal utilization of the platform by sub-agreement holder organizations.
Grant Administration
- Support the administration of grants, including the use of granting platforms, hosting of information sessions, development of grant materials, and eligibility (lead) review of applications.
- Ensure that all sub-agreement holder reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
