Your Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Professional Services Sales Manager to build our Services Sales function from the ground up. In this critical role, you’ll lead the entire services sales motion—from early prospect conversations through post-sale engagements—positioning Zip’s implementation and managed services as essential drivers of customer success.
You’ll work directly with prospects and customers to uncover services needs, scope solutions, and craft tailored proposals that align with their goals and complexity. This is a unique opportunity to shape how Zip brings services to market, partnering closely with Solution Architects, Delivery Leads, and Go-to-Market teams to build scalable processes, compelling packaging, and a repeatable engine for growth. If you thrive at the intersection of consultative selling, strategic thinking, and operational execution—and are excited by the challenge of building from zero—this role is for you.
You Will
- Build out our Services Sales function from scratch.
- Own the services sales motion across pre- and post-sales cycles—from understanding customer goals to closing scoped services packages.
- Engage directly with prospects and customers to uncover services needs, explain Zip’s implementation and managed services, and position these offerings as enablers of success.
- Define and scope projects, working with solution architects and delivery leads to ensure alignment on customer expectations, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Price and package Zip’s services, customizing proposals to align with business complexity, deployment scale, and customer success goal.
- Lead customer conversations around implementation approach, delivery strategy, and ongoing support to drive confidence and investment.
- Drive adoption of post-launch managed services, articulating the value of proactive engagement, optimization, and continued ROI realization.
- Partner with go-to-market and customer teams to ensure seamless handoffs, accurate proposals, and closed-loop feedback.
- Build and evolve services sales processes, templates, and collateral, creating a scalable, repeatable engine for services growth.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in enterprise SaaS services sales, sales engineering, or solution consulting.
- Proven track record selling implementation and/or managed services to enterprise customers.
- Ability to scope and price complex services engagements and communicate clearly with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the SaaS customer lifecycle and the role services play in customer success and retention.
- Comfortable owning both strategy and execution in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in procurement, or procurement related software
- Background in delivery, customer success, or project management
- Experience building services sales processes or offerings from scratch
