Job Title: Professional Dog Groomer

Reports To: Grooming Operations Manager and Owner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, skilled, and attentive Professional Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for dogs, great time management and experience in grooming a variety of dog breeds according to client requests and breed standards. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. We offer one on one appointments to ensure all pups are taken care of in a stress free environment. Tub, tables, dryers, shampoo and towels are supplied. We use an online booking system through Gingr.
Job Responsibilities:
Bathe, brush, dry, de tangle, deshed, perform haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, de-shedding, anal gland expression and any other requested grooming requirements.
Ability to identify common issues with skin/coat and overall health of the animal.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools, workstations, common areas and bathing tubs.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients about their pet’s grooming needs and preferences, while offering professional advice and opinions on types of trims.
Maintain accurate grooming records, answering phones and scheduling appointments. Collecting payments and processing transactions.
Ensure the safety and well-being of pets before, during and after the grooming process.
Adhere to all salon protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of dog grooming experience required.
Ability to groom all breeds and sizes to breed standard or client specifications. (Experience in hand stripping is a plus but not required)
Well versed in canine behavior/body language and proper animal handling.
Excellent communication and customer service skills with clients and team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle dogs of various sizes unassisted.
Ability to work as a team player, manage personal time effectively and contribute to the growth of the company.
Patience, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.
Benefits:
Commission pay at 55% and 100% of tips
The current available schedule is Tuesday to Thursday. Will require weekends in future.
