Reports To: Production Supervisor
Summary: This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily team operations while actively participating in production tasks. The Team Lead will guide team members, coordinate workflow, and ensure the efficient production, inspection, and packaging of various products within the manufacturing facility. Training will be provided.
Job Duties
- Operate machines and assist other workers with various physical labour tasks
- Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in daily work activities to provide assistance wherever needed
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors using emails and reports.
- Ensure tasks are completed fully and accurately as requested
- Check condition of all machinery prior to operation and notify maintenance of any issues
- Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Team Lead
- Oversee and allocate work to the Production Labourer to ensure work is completed and meets production workflow; monitor daily production activities to ensure deliverables are met and running on time
- Yield work orders in AX manufacturing operating system
- Review the raw materials on the floor to ensure appropriate levels for production
- Request additional materials as needed to ensure continuous operations in area
- Promotes safe working practices.
- Oversees and ensure that workplace health and safety guidelines are adhered
- Troubleshooting, reporting and overseeing equipment repairs (in the Production Assembly area)
Requirements
- Accuracy in following instructions and eager to learn
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Efficient job task planning and organizing
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Ability to focus on tasks to completion and to work well with minimal supervision
- Capable of speaking, reading, and writing in English
Work Conditions
- Plant setting, Monday through Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm; hours may be adjusted according to business needs ; occasional overtime may be required
- Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, may be on your feet for long periods
