What You’ll Do
The Production Technician is responsible for running equipment on our canning and packaging lines, assisting with material handling, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the production area. This is a hands-on role that involves working with machines, packaging systems, and supporting daily production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate equipment on the canning and packaging lines (labeler, depalletizer, packer, filler, etc.)
- Support kegging line operations as needed
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or irregularities
- Maintain a clean and organized production area following standard cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Complete cleaning and sanitization of equipment, tanks, and production floor
- Assemble cartons and prepare packaging materials
- Palletize product and assist with staging raw materials
- Handle materials including empty and full kegs, cases, and other packaging supplies
- Follow company policies, health and safety, and food safety procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn and operate production equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to product quality
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Forklift certification is an asset
What to Expect
- Rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, and midnights
- Overtime and weekend work as required based on production needs
- Shift lengths may vary (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including continental rotation)
- Physically active role involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 kg
- Work takes place on a busy production floor with loud noise, moving machinery, and wet surfaces
