Overview
As a Production lead you will be the primary person responsible for all dealings within the warehouse and production. You will be planning the production, connecting various departments and initiatives across the company and ensuring the KPIs set for the teams are met consistently. You will be the one to write the Standard Operating Procedures for the staff, implementing the training and holding people accountable.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve production targets.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using Fishbowl Inventory Systems and production planning tools.
- Strong understanding of quality control process and their implementation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a production environment.
- Excellent time management skills and able to plan within a timeline.
- Experience operating warehouse and manufacturing equipment, such as forklifts, pallet stackers, conveyor belts and box taping machines etc.
- Full G Drivers licence is required.
- First Aid / CPR training is an asset.
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in the food or consumer goods industry.
- Must be confident in abilities to use lift devices.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment is an asset.
- Experience using Fishbowl Advanced is an asset.
- Smart phone access for time clock and internal communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and supervise team leads and production staff to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Ensure that Team leads are knowledgeable in their departments KPIs and are on track to meet them.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to foster skill development and growth within the team.
- Develop and implement production plans, taking into consideration product demand, available resources, and production capacity.
- Create production schedules that maximize efficiency while meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines.
- Manage fishbowl work orders.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished products. Hold team responsible for accurate.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Sign-off on all quality control checks and ensure team leads are performing checks accurately.
- Collaborate with team leads to conduct regular inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Continuously assess production processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancements.
- Initiate and lead process improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Foster open and transparent communication channels between different departments, ensuring smooth information flow and coordination.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with other business functions, such as sales, marketing, and supply chain.
- Uphold and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the production facility.
- Implement measures to prevent workplace accidents and promote a safe working environment.
Wages and Benefits:
- $24.00 – $27.00
