Merchandise product on the sales floor and assemble promotional displays.
Assist customers in locating items and providing information on products.
Ensure old or expired produce is removed and discarded.
Unload produce trucks and break down pallets to organize produce within the produce cooler.
Maintain a clean work area by frequently sweeping produce department and clean up customer spills by moping and sanitizing, as well as, take out the daily garbage and recycle cardboard.
Prepare schedules and coordinate work activities for produce department.
Supervision of produce department personnel.
Recommend measures to improve productivity and improve quality.
Forecast product needs based on production figures and customer requests.
Train staff in job duties, health and safety procedures, and other company policies.
Recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, and disciplinary measures, including termination.
Identify workplace hazards and take correction measures to ensure a safe work environment.
Correct employees in violation of health and safety policies.
Participate in investigations of all injuries that occur within the produce department.
