The Process Operator I, will operate, perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting a series of machines and equipment with limited, readily definable process inputs to produce product following policies and procedures and frequent guidance. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices.

Compensation: $26.00/hr CAD

Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e. forklift, skid loader, sit down floor sweeper, front end loader). Learn operating procedures, receive input from peers and may provide feedback on clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation to pursue continuous improvement of facility operation. Use hand and power tools to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues, escalating broader machine issues. Monitor equipment and control panels, process samples, execute basic machine adjustments as needed and utilize computer systems to input and record data, following policies and procedures. Set up and operate control systems for a series of machines and equipment requiring limited, readily definable variables. Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, may be required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Advanced computer skills utilizing Microsoft programs, Outlook, Work, Excel
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP?
- Experience with Inventory Systems
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays or different shifts with advance notice
- Prior experience in production related work
