PRO SHOP ATTENDANT

Spring Creek is a 9- hole golf course located North of Pickering. We are looking for highly motivated employee(s) to join our team as pro shop attendant(s). We require candidates who are available to work from mid August through to November including weekends and holidays. Generally, shifts run 4 to 8 hours. We are open 7:30 am to 8:30 pm. Shift times are adjusted in early spring and fall.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Accepting tee time reservations (online/telephone)/managing tee sheet scheduling
- Perform daily cash handling activities including balancing/opening/closing Point of Sale (POS) systems in accordance with clubhouse procedures
- Responsible for opening/closing and security of the golf course facility
- Daily processing and serving of food/non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage orders
- Responsible for daily kitchen preparation of sandwiches, BBQ items and tournament food orders based on customer requirements
- Perform daily indoor and outdoor cleaning activities, stocking and inventory management
- Promotes teamwork by assisting fellow peers/colleagues where needed
- Responsible for driving, cleaning and parking golf power carts in an orderly fashion
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Manager/Supervisor to assist in the daily operations of the clubhouse
Qualifications:
- Proven customer service and strong communication skills
- Candidates with prior golf club employment/or playing experience is an asset
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekends, and holidays
- Smart Serve certification is required; Food handling certification an asset
- A drivers license or ability to commute where no public transit is available is required
Schedule:
- Part-time seasonal from August - November
- 7 days a week
- Weekends and holidays as needed
