Overview:
We are seeking a Line cook to join in our team at Asia in a busy restaurant kitchen.
We are a new restaurant focusing on Pan Asian cuisine working with exclusively sourced ingredients and modern techniques.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of various dishes under the guidance of the sous chef.
- Follow recipes and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all food safety standards are met during the food preparation process
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Help with stocking and organizing inventory as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- familiarity with Asian cuisine
- previous experience in fine dining/ Michelin star establishment would be a big asset
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
