Job Summary
As the Powder Coat Foreman, you will oversee all aspects of the powder coating process, manage a team of technicians, and ensure that production goals and quality standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the powder coating department
- Train, mentor, and schedule powder coat technicians
- Ensure proper surface preparation, coating application, and curing
- Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed
- Monitor production timelines and prioritize workflow
- Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot defects
- Enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in powder coating, with 1+ year in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of powder coating equipment, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and job specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Forklift certification and mechanical aptitude are assets
