As a Portable Washroom Repair & Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for on-site repairs of Portable Washrooms for our valued customers at worksites and outdoor locations in the Niagara Region. Additionally, general mechanical repairs and service to pressurized pump truck systerms will be part of the successful candidates day-to-day work. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent customer service skills, a G class License, 5 years or better driving experience (professional experience not required) and a clean drivers abstract.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Make on-site repairs to damaged and ineffective Portable Washrooms as needed.
- Restock portable washrooms as needed.
- Stage and organize repaired plastic & self-contained portable washrooms for delivery.
- Use CRO software to navigate repair & service visits, constantly communicating with the Route Manager.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner when dropping off and picking up units, and while conducting quality control reviews.
- Perform quality control assessments on sites and/or in yard depending on the needs of the business.
- Assess portable plastic and self-contained units using a check sheet and scoring system to determine if they have been cleaned/delivered to the Halco standards.
- Report to the General Manager and the Routing Manager all completed check sheets.
- Schedule or complete work to be done on the units inspected as required and note work that has been completed.
- General mechanical repairs to shop machinery & vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record (must be provided)
- 5 years experience driving with a G class License
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not required
- General knowledge and experiene with plumbing, pressurized systems, electrical & carpentry work & repair.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs) and moving tasks
- Knowledge and understanding of proper tie down methods, how to use ratchet straps, etc.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
