We are currently looking for a picker/packer to work at one of our warehouses in Concord, ON.
Main activities include:
- Scan bar code printed for the items and enter the Identification Number into and update the Warehouse Inventory
- Read and interpret batch pick list to identify items required to complete the customer order
- Locate and accurately pick from warehouse stock the customer order items
- Check selected items for accuracy and quality
- Verify the items for correct manufacturer, size, colour, style, quantity - Reviewing orders for accuracy and cross referencing with packing lists
- Identify defects by inspecting the product for damages.
- Record all picking errors on a log or verbally advise superior
- Obtain, fold and place items neatly into cartons
- Process all items that are to be returned to stock
- Maintain and organize the work area to ensure cleanliness
- Meet and exceed productivity and quality standards outlined by the company
- Move pallets and skids to the designated loading areas
- Other duties as required
Skills & Abilities:
- 1-2 years of warehouse machinery experience an asset
- Warehouse Machinery licence an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Effective organizational skills
- Planning, Reporting, Inventory Control, Equipment Maintenance
- Must have the skills to efficiently and effectively manage time and carry out orders
- Must possess the skills of coordinating with other departments
- Must be compliant with all safety and legal documentation processes of a warehouse.
