Job Summary
Are you a self-starter, looking to kick start your career in physiotherapy? Elite Sports Injury is looking for a dynamic and motivated physiotherapy assistant to join the Bridgwater team. The Physiotherapy Assistant will work under the direct supervision of certified physiotherapists to deliver top-quality physical therapy services to clients and assist with office administration.
This is a part time position of evening hours to start in September.
What you will do:
- Teach and demonstrate exercise programs to physiotherapy clients
- Teach and demonstrate proper use of equipment for clients
- Assist physiotherapist with patient treatment: apply heat and ice packs; removing modalities;
- Perform reception duties, data entry, answer phone calls, and other administrative functions
- Promote client safety by maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain inventory of physical therapy supplies (check stock, place orders, receive supplies)
- Maintain client records and confidentiality of patient and company information
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Obtained or currently pursuing degree in kinesiology or diploma from a physiotherapy assistant program, or personal training program
- 1+ years of experience in an office environment
- Experience with teaching exercises with knowledge base and attention to technical detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with clients and staff
- Detail oriented and self-motivated with strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Physical fitness
