We are currently seeking a committed and motivated individual to join our Finance & Accounting Team in the Winnipeg office as our next Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will be ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, reconciling payroll accounts and ensuring compliance with payroll-related laws and regulations, and assisting with related administrative functions. This role supports both operations, finance and accounting teams by managing payroll processing, reporting, and system maintenance.
This is an in-office position.
The day-to-day activities of our Payroll Administrator include:
- Payroll Processing – Reviewing time records, compiling data from various sources and ensuring accurate data entry in Dayforce. Ensuring compliance with provincial payroll laws, tax regulations and company policies while staying current with legislative updates.
- Reports and Reconciliation – Support internal and external audits by ensuring payroll records are accurate, complete and compliant. Prepare and complete monthly benefit reconciliations to ensure accurate billing from benefits provider. Lead and manage year end payroll activities.
- Teamwork and Continuous Improvement - Collaborate with Operations, People & Culture, Finance and Accounting teams to validate employee data, reconcile payroll accounts, and resolve discrepancies. Optimize and troubleshoot the payroll system by configuring settings in Dayforce, assisting with system updates, improving workflows, and conducting testing in the test system.
- 5+ years experience processing Canadian payroll, multi-province experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Dayforce, including system configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience in payroll data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
- Experience in ERP applications and payroll integration is considered an asset.

- Attention to detail and ability to analyze large datasets for errors or discrepancies.
- Knowledge and experience with processing Canadian payroll in multiple provinces.
