The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to join our accounting team in Olds, AB. In this part-time role, you’ll play a key role in supporting our payroll processes and contributing to the overall employee experience. You’ll report to the Financial Controller and collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams. This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive and collaborative workplace where your contributions make a real impact. We value accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement. There is potential for the role to develop into a full-time position over time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Provide support with timecard reviews and troubleshooting.
- Administer employee benefits and assist with updates and new employee enrolment.
- Help maintain accuracy in our HR Information System (HRIS).
- Prepare annual tax forms including T4s.
- Be the go-to person for payroll and benefits related employee inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in payroll and related processes.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and reporting.
- Support data entry and administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is preferred.
- Experience with ADP systems is considered an asset.
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and dedication to providing employees with payroll support.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Must be well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
