Tollestrup Construction (2005) Inc. has been in operation since 1940 and we are looking to expand our team here in Southern Alberta. We are currently looking for a Paver Operator.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paver Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a paver and a strong mechanical knowledge base. This role requires a hands-on approach to various tasks, including loader operation, asphalt finishing, and heavy equipment management. The Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including loaders and other equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to meet project specifications.
- Dig and prepare sites for construction activities, ensuring proper site management.
- Collaborate with team members to pave surfaces accurately and effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise, utilizing strong mechanical knowledge.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in paving operation is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
- Experience working on roadway construction is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
