Your day:
- Building rapport while preparing patients for blood draws; ensuring that all applicable health, safety, and professional business practices of the Employer are followed
- Cleaning, maintaining equipment and working with the other departments to ensure supplies are stocked; adhering to all aseptic and hygiene policies at all times
- Performing phlebotomy, urinalysis and other procedures within your scope of practice
- Electronically documenting patient treatment and service details
- Responsibility for all aspects of sample testing: preparation, sample collection, processing, storing, and shipping
- Tracking inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the smooth operating of the department
- Timely and respectful communication with other Neurvana team members
- Clinical professionalism is required at all times in Neurvana offices, or anywhere else where you would represent Neurvana Health (public events, meetings, etc)
What to expect
- Part time, permanent (12-20 hours per week)
- Monday & Tuesday AM + 1 flexible day (Friday or Saturday)

- Hourly & bi-weekly pay increments

The Ideal Candidate:
- Already possesses the skills to confidently and independently perform phlebotomy, charting, and processing of lab samples. Minimum experience of 1 year in a related phlebotomy career is required
- Has completed an accredited phlebotomy training program (MLA or similar). And certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) is an asset.
- Maintains a valid CPR, ACLS or BLS certification
- Has current work authorization: Canadian citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident
- Is comfortable with being in close contact with others and empathetically holding space for individuals from all walks of life
- Is able to work independently, take initiative, manage time and function effectively without continuous direction
- Values the fundamentals of health, actively participates in personal healthy practices, and has a genuine desire to help others achieve their optimal health
- Enhances the department and clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to the organization
- Experience with difficult venipunctures in a private clinic setting is an asset
