We’re now looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Optical Lab Technician to join our team. This role is primarily lab-focused, with additional responsibilities in patient care and pretesting.
Position Overview
As an Optical Lab Technician, you’ll be responsible for fabricating, finishing, and maintaining prescription eyewear. You’ll also assist patients with frame adjustments and provide pretesting support in the clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technical, hands-on work while still interacting with patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, edge, and finish prescription lenses.
- Mount lenses into frames with precision and accuracy.
- Complete eyewear repairs and adjustments.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
- Pre-test patients in preparation for eye exams.
- Provide professional, friendly service when assisting patients with eyewear.
What You Bring to the Team
- Previous lab or optical experience is an asset (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
