Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and meal preparation techniques is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen environment.
