About the Role
The Waffle Co. is a fast-growing dessert brand based in Surrey, BC. We're looking for a part-time bookkeeper to join our team and take charge of our in-house bookkeeping as we expand operations.
What You’ll Do
- Record daily transactions (sales, expenses, purchases, vendor payments)
- Reconcile POS data with bank accounts
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Maintain organized digital records of receipts and invoices
- Support payroll entry and reconciliation
- Update and maintain Excelsheets
- Attend a weekly 1-hour in-person meeting with owner at the Surrey store
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to generate detailed monthly financial statements
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Based in or near Surrey, BC
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid position: Mostly remote, but must attend 1 in-person meeting per week (1 hour)
- Start with 6-8 hours/week; expected to increase to 20+ hours/week as the company grows OR we can offer a Monthly fixed amount as well.
