Job Summary
To sustain this rapid growth, Dart is now committed to increase our production capacity to meet our customer requests. Applying industrial paint finishes and/or powder coat on metal products, the Painter will be responsible for ensuring that all parts are sprayed to a consistently high quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat large items with protective or decorative coatings.
- Select appropriate paint
- Tend to or operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective or decorative coatings
- Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.
- Perform assembly of painted parts with hand tools.
- Mark, record and report defects.
- Other task and duties as required by supervisor
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Post-Secondary diploma in a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a Painter.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Manual dexterity with small tools and attentive to details to perform precision work
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Critical eye for identifying defects.
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$33.10 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
