We are an AS9100- and ISO9001-certified aerospace manufacturing facility specializing in precision CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Shop Cleaner to help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization required in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum shop floors daily to remove chips, dust, and debris in compliance with aerospace cleanliness standards.
- Empty garbage bins, scrap containers, and dispose of waste following company environmental and safety procedures.
- Wipe down CNC machines and surrounding areas daily to remove metal shavings, dust, and coolant residue.
- Clean machine areas, removing metal shavings and wiping down equipment exteriors to support contamination control.
- Maintain washrooms and breakroom (clean, sanitize, restock supplies) to ensure a hygienic workplace.
- Clean entrances, loading dock areas, windows, and other facility surfaces to maintain a professional appearance for customer visits.
- Follow all safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with WHMIS and aerospace facility requirements.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist with other facility upkeep tasks as assigned, supporting 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred; aerospace or manufacturing environment experience is an asset.
- Ability to work safely around machinery in an active production shop.
- Strong attention to detail to meet aerospace industry cleanliness and quality standards.
- Physically able to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 – 50 per week
