Job Overview:
As an Order Picker/Material Handler at our custom stair manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products. You will be responsible for picking orders, managing inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Order Picking & Fulfillment:
- Accurately pick and prepare orders based on work orders, shipping lists, or customer requirements.
- Verify product counts, labels, and specifications to ensure order accuracy.
- Package and stage materials for shipment or internal delivery.
Material Handling & Inventory Control:
- Maintain organized storage of materials to optimize space and accessibility.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to prevent shortages or discrepancies.
Warehouse & Production Support:
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards, following safety protocols.
- Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or supply shortages to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in tasks and assignments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
