Optometric Assistant
Duties:
- Assist optometrists with patient care, including pre-testing, taking patient information
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic medical records
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, greeting patients and submitting insurance claims
- Assist with retail sales of contact lenses and eye care products
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the office and exam rooms
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to accurately document patient information
- Previous experience in retail sales is beneficial
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
