Upper Appleby Eyecare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. If you are passionate about eye care and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrists with patient examinations and procedures.
- Conduct pre-testing and diagnostic assessments including retinal imaging
- Assist patients with contact lens fittings and provide instructions on proper lens care and maintenance.
- Manage patient records and appointment scheduling
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination and pretesting areas
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in optometry is a plus
- Previous experience as a Contact Lens Technician or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for patient management
