About the Role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Ocean Export Forwarding Agent to join our growing team at Golden freight forwarding & marketing
Inc. , a leading freight forwarding company specializing in international freight solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the export of goods via ocean freight, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while delivering exceptional service to our clients. This is a key role for a freight professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about global trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end ocean export process, ensuring timely and compliant movement of cargo.
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and partners to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Negotiate competitive rates and terms with ocean carriers and service providers to ensure cost efficiency.
- Manage client accounts by addressing inquiries, resolving service issues, and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export declarations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination across the supply chain.
- Leverage account management and B2B sales techniques to identify growth opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate shipment and customer data using AS400 or similar freight forwarding systems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ocean freight forwarding, or international trade is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a focus on delivering customer value.
- Proven track record in managing customer accounts and building long-term client relationships.
- Familiarity with global supply chain processes and freight operations.
- Experience in inside sales or account development is a plus.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Understanding of 3PL operations and their role in freight forwarding.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $44,107.79-$55,000.00 per year
