Multi-Task Crew Member – Logistics & Operations Support
Makkinga Contractors is seeking applications for a full-time Multi-Task Crew Member position based in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic work environment and are willing to take on a variety of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Runner: Transport and deliver parts efficiently to various locations.
- Gravel Scaling: Accurately measure and record gravel loads.
- Travel Flexibility: Ability to work out of town and stay overnight as required.
- Janitorial Work: Maintain cleanliness and organization in workspaces.
- Shipping & Receiving: Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with paperwork, data entry, and other office-related tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily hazard assessments and forklift inspections.
- Fueling Heavy Equipment: Ensure heavy machinery and vehicles are properly fueled for operation.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and write English proficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor tasks.
- Forklift operation experience (certification preferred).
- Basic computer skills for administrative duties.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
