Job Overview
This hands-on, combined position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of Mosaic Suites. Duties include custodial work, basic maintenance, landscaping, and parking lot upkeep. You play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and buff floors in public areas and hallways.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and common areas.
- Regularly empty indoor and outdoor garbage cans, including those in the parking lot.
- Keep the parking lot tidy, clear of debris, and complete minor repairs (such as patching holes, snow removal, sanding).
- Perform light maintenance: replace light bulbs, touch-up painting, basic plumbing repairs, unclog drains, and fix door hardware.
- Maintain landscaping (lawn mowing, trimming, basic gardening in season); inspect grounds daily for litter.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work as directed by management.
- Respond quickly to requests from management or guests regarding maintenance and custodial tasks.
- Monitor cleaning and maintenance supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in building maintenance and custodial roles, ideally within hospitality or multi-unit accommodations.
- Skilled with floor buffers and cleaning equipment.
- Physically able to lift 65lb, bend, reach, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
- Solid working knowledge of basic repairs: plumbing, electrical (minor), and general facility upkeep.
- Landscaping or groundskeeping experience is an asset.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays when needed.
Wage Expectations
- Hourly Wage: $22–$25, based on experience and skills.
- Opportunities for additional incentives or benefits based on performance.
