Medical receptionist in a rheumatology clinic.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations by performing multiple tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service for patients. This includes performing various tasks on a daily basis: scheduling patients, answering phone calls, charting, prioritizing tasks and handling sensitive information confidentially.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Process patient check-in and check-out, verifying patient demographics
- Handle medical records requests and maintain confidentiality
- Collect co-pays and balance payments
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, charting and data entry
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area

- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical or customer service setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems ( Oscar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanorPart-time: Monday- Wednesday 8:30AM-4:30PM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
