Join our team at the Russell Medical Center, a dynamic medical office with a team of four dedicated doctors serving the community of Russell and surrounding areas. We are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and are looking for a Medical Office Administrative Assistant to help us maintain our high standards of service. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and enhancing our patients' experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation processes.
- Provide front-desk support, greet patients, and handle check-ins and check-outs.
- Answer phone calls, responding to inquiries, and routing calls to the appropriate party.
- Manage all inbound and outbound communications including faxes.
- Manage, transcribe and follow-up on referrals and medical forms.
- Maintain patient records with confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in collecting and processing payments, claims and billing.
- Coordinate with medical staff to support patient care and office operations.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education and or certification in medical administration is preferrable.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Proficiency in PS Suite EMR or other EMRs
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with medical software systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
