We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care.
Job description
- creating a friendly, supportive environment for clients as they arrange, attend and follow up on their examinations
- booking clients using our software
- answering phones and emails
- registering clients
- managing credit, debit and cash payments
- scanning and entering test results into our software
- tracking test results and following up with clients by phone and email for missing information
- arranging further medical investigations as directed
- cleaning the bathroom and other rooms in between clients, as needed
- doing a regular inventory of office and medical supplies
- ordering office and medical supplies as needed
- managing any problems or challenges with the client experience as they arise
Skills
- Proficiency in using phone systems and electronic medical records
- Experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Strong administrative skills with knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and staff efficiently
- Fluency in a language other than English a plus but not required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Application question(s):
- The office is open from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. You may be asked to work half or full days, 1- 5 days a week depending on your availability and customer demand. Some weeks may have less work due to lower customer demand. Are you interested in this amount of work?
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Medical Administration: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
