Key Responsibilities
- Create precise mechanical drawings for fabrication, sub-assemblies, and final assembly using AutoCAD and CAD software
- Collaborate with engineers and production to ensure technical drawings meet manufacturing requirements and timelines
- Document and update design changes; maintain detailed drawing records
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement of product designs
- Assist shop floor staff by providing clear drawing interpretations and design support during production
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal drafting and documentation procedures
- Ensure all drafting meets quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or post-secondary education in mechanical design, drafting, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical drafting, technical drawing, or manufacturing design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, fabrication tools, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management, and record-keeping abilities
- Flexible and adaptable with a problem-solving mindset

Location & Work Schedule
- In-person position based in Penticton, BC
- Full-time, permanent (8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday)
- Must be able to reliably commute to Penticton
