Manager on Duty

We are currently seeking an experienced Manager on Duty (MOD) to join us at The Italian Osteria & Cheesebar in Langley!

The Manager on Duty ensures all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently. To be successful in this role, you must be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes great customer service. Prior experience working in a restaurant as a Server or Bartender is required.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Leading the service teams by example and in a supervisory and supportive capacity
• Making guests feel welcome and creating memorable experiences
• Providing exceptional, friendly customer service
• Great product knowledge
• Responsible Beverage Service in accordance with Serving it Right
• Maintaining cleanliness and environment standards of the Brewpub
• Delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure organizational goals are met
• Troubleshooting issues that arise across the Brewpub effectively
• Coaching and reporting on team performance
• Resolve customer complaints, requests and queries
• Monitoring, contributing to, and acting on key performance indicators and other targets
• Other duties as required

Your Availability

• We are seeking candidates with afternoon and evening availability Monday - Sunday
• Hours and shifts may vary. Includes working evenings, weekends and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous FOH experience working as a Server or Bartender
• Valid Serving It Right Certifications
• First Aid Level 1 is an asset, but not required
• Positive, can-do attitude with an ability to multi-task
• Strong communication and organizational skills
