Duty Manager, YWG
The Duty Manager is accountable for providing direction and leadership for our service partners represented within the operation. With a continued focus on safety, operational reliability, guest experience, and cost-efficiency, the Duty Manager shall ensure airport operations are managed efficiently and in alignment with WestJet’s airport’s strategic direction.

Key deliverables include
Ensure our Service Partners are planning long term and daily to deliver station service level agreements.
Represent on behalf of WestJet in Airport community meetings, ensuring our priorities are met and operational strategy is clear.
Ensuring our service partner and airport authority leadership are mitigating operational issues.
Develop a strong working relationship with external agencies such as the airport authority, CATSA, CBSA & USCBP.
Ensuring effective communication within service partners operations center, providing recommendations and guidance to maximize efficiencies at the airport.
Ensure guest experience delivery standards are met or exceeded.
Ensure operational performance standards are met or exceeded.
Manage portfolios as assigned by the Regional Manager.
Ensure the delivery of WestJet safety program above and below the wing.
Review process failures and flaws and facilitate effective solutions.
Experience and qualifications
3-5 years leadership experience required in a ground operations and/or customer service focused field
5 years airline operational experience required - ground operations preferred
Ability to work a rotating schedule 24/7/365 and travel for business meetings and training
Excellent ability to multitask & handle changing priorities under extreme pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional reliability
Process management skills with the ability to prioritize quickly and efficiently
Proficient in PC based applications, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proven ability to provide excellent internal and external guest experience
Proven history of effecting change through influence
Proven track record in leading business operations
