As we grow, we are currently seeking candidates for the position of Manager – Office & Administration based in Winnipeg, MB. This career is a part of the overall Flightcraft Team and is an integral part of the Leadership Group within the company.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager – Office & Administration will maintain, and process accurate records and accounts related to accounting systems and business functions of Flightcraft Aviation Services Ltd & partner companies. The successful candidate will support the executive level of Flightcraft and their partner companies, and report to them accordingly ensuring daily, monthly and annual financial requirements are met, in a fast-paced aviation company.
Attention to detail, following company procedures, and teamwork are key components to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate must possess verbal and written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. They must also be flexible and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify and process invoices.
- Operate specific department/Company software programs.
- Answer telephones and emails.
- Prepare accruals.
- Audit, input and update data.
- Reconcile accounts.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Prepare reports.
- Prepare payroll as/when required.
- Complete government-required remittances.
- Prepare/compose letters.
- Research, resolve, and respond to internal/external customers’ issues and queries.
- Maintain, calculate and input information per accounting standards.
- Process internal/external payments.
- Handle cheques, cash, and POS transactions.
- Calculate and process claims.
- Prepare and distribute statements.
- Verify, calculate and adjust pay claims as requested.
- Comply with company policies and government regulations as per the Canada Labour Code.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Organize and prioritize workload.
- Work under pressure.
- Work with minimal supervision.
In addition to the above, all positions may be required to perform the following tasks/responsibilities:
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- May be required to perform other related duties which do not affect the nature of the job.
- Verify rates and adjust documents and customer details.
- Task allocation may vary from one department to another.
- Maintain competitive awareness of industry standards.
- May be required to travel for training and/or development courses.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Completion of college and/or university accounting and/or business program required.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Aptitude for accuracy and detail.
- Working experience with SAGE Accounting is essential.
- Minimum 3 years office and/or accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with SAGE.
- Drivers license.
- Background check through Transport Canada required.
- Confidentiality agreement required.
