Reporting to the Director of Finance and Policy, the Manager, Finance Contract Administration, is responsible for leading a team of contract administrators focused on contract management transactions and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards. The Manager serves as both a people leader and a key subject matter expert.


What you’ll be doing

Contract Administration and Quality Assurance

  • Lead the review of contracts to ensure appropriate application of accounting standards and identifies where corrections and changes are required
  • Oversee the creation of billing payment plans based on interpretation and application of contracts, legislation and accounting standards and practices and ensure appropriate recording in electronic systems
  • Lead and oversee the implementation and maintenance of a robust quality control program, ensuring compliance with internal controls requirements to safeguard the organization's financial integrity and enhance its overall financial governance.
  • Based on the identification of compliance gaps and deficiencies, lead the implementation of improvement initiatives including new tools / templates, reports, designs and processes
  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial information for the organization’s annual budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Lead quality and continuous improvement in processes, procedures and the use of technology for the department
  • Direct and oversee the development and testing for electronic contract systems for new modules and upgrades


What you’ll bring to CCC

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or commerce
  • Chartered Professional Accounting designation
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management including experience related to people management and operational planning and delivery
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements within the public sector environment
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in operational management of financial professionals, operational planning and risk management, contract management and administration
  • Knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal legislation and regulations including collective agreements
  • Bilingualism (C-B-C) in both Official Languages is imperative.
