WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Chief Legal & Administrative Office Group Portfolio Management Office (CLAO PMO) is currently hiring a manager to assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of the initiative governance requirements for all segment PMO’s under CLAO. Adhering to Enterprise policies and standards for initiative management, the governance framework will be leveraged to ensure segment PMOs mitigate project risk and maximize financial investments for CLAO. In this role, you will be responsible for administrating CLAO PMOs governance framework to ensure compliance and drive effective collaboration with segment PMO stakeholders and their respective portfolios.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
- Contribute to the development of an initiative management governance framework that align to RBC Enterprise policies and standards
- Support in the adoption and alignment of established governance framework to all segment PMOs under CLAO Group
- Manage the timely administration of governance activities for initiatives within all segment PMOs initiative portfolio
- Provide support in the consistent and effective delivery of all initiatives within the segment PMOs that are aligned to CLAO strategic objectives
- Develop and maintain robust portfolio risk reports presenting initiative performance against established KPIs and other business metrics
- Manage the effective intake and review of initiative requests across all segment PMOs for CLAO senior leadership decisioning through IRB
- Drives continuous improvement through the optimization of established PMO practices by reviewing initiative benefits and performance metrics
- Establish strong working relationships with BU leads and sponsors across all segment PMOs under CLAO to build influence and impact with key business partners.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Must have:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant designation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with producing reports for senior leadership and business stakeholder review
- Adept organizational skills and ability to ensure accuracy, attention to detail is applied to all requirements
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and prioritizing work/engagements for greatest impact/value
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge with Project Management tools (Planview (PVSaaS), MS Visio)
- Relevant Project Management or working in a PMO experience
- Experience with Tableau or related business insights platform
- Previous experience in a governance and/or operational risk role
